Perfectly Mobile.

This bike would make each of my days just a little bit sweeter.

I can't decide which basket I would like better though. Luckily, I won't be making this perplexing decision for quite some time.

From Public. I love that they deliver the bikes.....on bikes! Ha!

Minneapolis was also just named by Bicycling magazine the top bike-friendly city in the COUNTRY! Wow. Speaking of bikes and cool. This new place called the Angry Catfish in Minneapolis is a place I can see myself just going to. Mostly because I love coffee, bikes, and I picture really interestingly unique people hanging out there.. Not that I would necessarily talk to any of said people. Let's face it, I'm not cool enough for that.

A Fantasy.

Here is (one of) my dream days. Wake up early, fully refreshed to the sounds of birds chirping away outside my window. The perfect mix of warmth and breeze moving the curtains and bringing me fully awake. Coffee would be hot and waiting for me to soak it up. I would walk to the yoga studio and join in a powerful practice, where I leave feeling as graceful as a ballerina and as peaceful as a sleeping baby.
After a quick, cool shower I would dress in my favorite white sun dress, hat, and my lovely new pale blue linen Toms.

I would sling my Market Backpack over my shoulders and ride away on my Swedish Bicycle to the Mill City Farmer's Market with Mark

Our new golden retriever puppy, of course, would be along too :)

After arriving at the farmer's market We would buy a gorgeous and intoxicating array of fresh flowers, veggies, and fruits. Maybe some cheese too. We would bike to a secluded area along the river and have the best picnic gorging ourselves on our natural treats. After biking home we would work on our plot of garden, visit our neighborhood library, and make a quick stop at the Little Wine Shoppe before spending the night listening to gorgeous soulful music and having friends over for wine and delicious food made from raw ingredients. The night would end with laughter, love, and the most delightful feeling of togetherness. I am beaming just thinking about it!

Creative Inspiration

I have recently been introduced to some amazing artists whose work and I have been lusting over and can't stop thinking about! With them in mind, I have decided to make a wonderful collage of art to place above our couch when we move into our new apartment mid-August. Space is very limited and the place is going to be pretty much all 'old apartment' without any vintage charm. I am happily making plans on how I can creatively make the place over without any actual painting or renovations. Here are just some of the pieces I have been loving!

This is my new favorite artist, Charmaine Olivia. She does drawings, paintings, and photos and they are simply unique and beautiful. I love her use of the female form and animals, often together!
I hope she doesn't mind that I am using her photo as my blog header! It's just gorgeous.

Awesome. More from Charmaine Olivia.

Decals by Shanna Murray. I love the simplicity of these. I'm thinking either bathroom or bedroom for this with one of our wedding photos or just any cheesy photo of us.

Photography by Irene Suchocki.

Sammy the Seagull by Wayne Pate.

So perfect. By Tuesday Mourning.

I'm learning French right now and we plan on taking a trip there in the next year or so. This would be perfect above our bed! By Penny Wishes.

I have been eying this doily clock for over a year now. I think it would go perfectly in our kitchen. I love the industrial and feminine mix of this piece. From andfurthermore.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to purchase all of these items so I am going to have to choose a few and supplement with other creative wall ideas. I already have some blue wood frames with fun fabrics framed and waiting when we get home, which might fit perfectly on the main living room wall. I also want to hang the wooden cross we got during out wedding ceremony as well as a handwritten bible verse (or two) written in flowing cursive watercolor. I'm collecting the verses as I find them and will then present them to Mark for the deciding vote. Here are some I like.

"This fellow welcomes sinners and eats with them." -- the people, about Jesus (Luke 15:2)
"For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them." -- Jesus (Matt. 18:20)
No one can receive anything except what has been given from heaven. (John 3:27)
"Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." -- Jesus (Luke 12:32)
"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own." -- Jesus (Matt. 6:34)
"Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God." -- Jesus (Luke 6:20)---I'm liking this one the most, as it rings close to home in our current situation.

Hopefully it turns out as spectacular in real life as it does in my head.
